A few years ago, Google thought that phones and tablets and watches would be more interesting if everyone were invited to imagine, invent, make or buy whatever they wanted. That’s how Android was born. The open ecosystem was unique, but overtime it led to much confusion with thousands of devices and manufacturers in the market. So the Creative Lab created a new brand identity, giving Android a distinct purpose, look and feel that’s flexible enough for the vast device portfolio. We also created the rally cry “Be Together. Not The Same.”—celebrating Android as the inclusive and expressive brand with something for everyone.
The fully integrated campaign launched October 2014 in the US and then rolled out to EU markets.
